About EIHTAA
EIHTAA brings hoteliers, travel agents and tourism professionals from across Eastern India onto one platform. Our members share a common purpose: to look beyond the well-travelled circuits and open up the region's districts to responsible, well-planned tourism.
We work closely with local tourism ecosystems — homestays, guides, artisans and small operators — so that the benefits of travel reach the communities who make it possible. Every initiative we support is built around sustainability, cultural respect and long-term value for the districts we work in.

ExploreWhy It Matters
Lesser-known destinations that sit outside the well-worn tourist circuits, each with its own landscape, craft and story to tell.
Local communities gain a direct stake in tourism, through homestays, guiding work and locally owned enterprise.
Heritage and culture are documented and kept alive, rather than diluted for the sake of quick visitor turnover.
Nature and biodiversity are treated as assets to be safeguarded, not backdrops to be consumed.
Local livelihoods grow steadily, giving young people in these districts a reason to build their future at home.
What Awaits
From misty tea gardens to tiger reserves, coastal sunsets to mountain monasteries — Eastern India's districts hold a remarkable range of experience.
